Do you remember your first kiss? For most of us, a first kiss is a downright magical experience, and we’d give anything to relive it. And for some celebrities, reliving their own first kiss is simply a matter of hitting the “play” button!

Many actors get started at a young age, and this leads to situations where they sometimes have to kiss a costar before they get to kiss anyone when the cameras aren’t rolling. And from your favorite childhood stars of yesteryear to those headlining today’s hottest movies and TV shows, you’ll be shocked by who made the list.

Which celebs had their first kisses on screen? Keep reading to find out!

Millie Bobby Brown

Thanks to the success of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is one of the hottest stars in the world right now. But it didn’t feel so hot when she was asked to kiss costar Finn Wolfhard for a simple reason: he was going to be her first kiss ever. That would have been awkward enough, but then things got even weirder.

In an appearance on The Tonight Show, she admitted that her initial reaction to the first kiss was to get up and promptly declare “Kissing sucks!” And it was that much worse to do this in front of the cast, crew, and even her family. “My dad watched the whole thing, my whole family was there, and it was the most awkward thing in the world.”

On an awkwardness scale of 1-10, we’d definitely rate this one as “Eleven.”

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez had the kind of first kiss that you spent the rest of your life trying to forget. At the time, she was really crushing on Suite Life of Zack & Cody star Cole Sprouse. Surreally, she appeared on an episode and had to kiss his twin brother, Dylan Sprouse. It was her first kiss, and she later told Tiger Beat how terrible the experience was: “I actually leaned in to kiss him and I had my eyes closed a little too early, and I ended up missing like half of his lip,” she said. “So, it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world.”

Keke Palmer

These days, Keke Palmer is headlining major Hollywood films like Nope. But back in 2007, she experienced her first onscreen kiss with Corbin Bleau (best known for High School Musical) when they both starred in the Disney Channel movie Jump In! She was only 12 at the time, and she later admitted to Access the scene freaked her out a bit as they kept repeating the kiss, eventually causing her to ask existential questions such as “Should I [be] having my first kiss on a movie? Should I let that happen to me? Maybe this is all a bad thing?”

Candace Cameron Bure

Fans of a certain age grew up watching Candace Cameron Bure play DJ Tanner on Full House, a role she reprised more recently in the sequel series Fuller House. And in a fun “meta” moment, there was an episode of the original show where her character dreaded kissing her crush, a character played by Scott Curtis. This was Bure’s first kiss and she dreaded it, later telling Closer Weekly that “It’s awkward when you’ve never had a kiss and then have to kiss someone on national television.”

We’d tend to agree. Or, in the words of her young onscreen sister, we might simply say “you got it, dude.”

Macaulay Culkin

After the runaway success of Home Alone, it’s fair to say that Macaulay Culkin was one of the hottest stars of the 1990s. But his first onscreen kiss occurred in his other big ‘90s film My Girl. He had to kiss fellow child star Anna Chlumsky. Later, he admitted to Interview just how weird the whole thing was: “Yeeeccchhhk. It was like, fifteen takes. All angles. Yeeecchhhkkk.” It’s a very kid-like reaction, but it does make us wonder anew how weird it is to make children kiss each other when they really don’t want to.

Jodie Sweetin

Like Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin was another child actor on Full House who experienced her first kiss while shooting for the show. Very ironically, she wrote in her memoir that UnSweetined that she was jealous after Bure got to kiss a boy in front of the world. But when the time came for her to do the same, she dreaded the idea that “people were going to make fun of me” and thought the kiss was the opposite of something hot and romantic: “It was like pecking my grandmother.”

Mila Kunis

The story of Mila Kunis and her first kiss might just be enough to make you believe in fate. Back on That ’70s Show, she had to kiss her onscreen costar Ashton Kutcher, who was understandably weirded out by the age gap between them (he was 19 and she was 14), making him nervous about kissing her. As for Kunis, she was nervous for a different reason: as she later told People, “I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him.”

Many years and many relationships later, these two are now happily married. And just like that, Kunis gets to live happily ever after with the first man she kissed!

Kirsten Dunst

To this day, many fans would do almost anything to kiss Brad Pitt, but Kirsten Dunst wasn’t that impressed when she kissed him way back in Interview With the Vampire. But as she later explained in an appearance on Conan, she had an age-appropriate response to the whole thing: “I thought it was disgusting. … I was 11. It would have been weird if I was like, ‘This is amazing; I’m kissing Brad Pitt.’”

Now, though, we kind of want to ask whether Spider-Man or Brad Pitt is the better kisser!
