These days, both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have gone on to do some pretty awesome things together. Back in the day, though, they were mostly known for their big breakout role in Twilight. The popularity of that movie and the book it was based on led to several follow-up films that made these actors into household names. And even though the movies are showing their age, this franchise still has plenty of fans of Bella, Edward, and the entire crew.
Does all this talk about Twilight have you wanting to re-experience all of it for yourself? It’s a tempting thought, but it can also be tough to find the time to binge-watch your favorite films. However, we’ve got the next best thing: a rundown of the most iconic moments from the Twilight films. Want to look at the franchise through fresh eyes and experience the magic for yourself? Keep reading to discover scenes almost as awesome as a shiny vampire!
Jacob’s transformation into a wolf

When Twilight first began, the franchise mostly focused on vampires. It wasn’t too long, though, before we got some werewolves in the mix. One of those was hunky Jacob, a character who served as another potential love interest who kept fans captivated. Speaking of which, few scenes in the franchise are quite as captivating as when Jacob transformed into a wolf in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
It all begins when Bella is looking for Jacob and ends up interacting with his friends. Things go poorly and Bella has to slap Paul, causing him to wolf out in his angry annoyance. As if on cue, Jacob shows up to save the day, transforming into his wolf form in order to protect Bella. And no matter how many times you watch this wolfy wonder of a scene, it never gets old.
Bella saves Edward’s life

In the first Twilight, it was easy to see Bella’s character as a stereotypical damsel in distress who needed to be saved from danger by her big, bad vampire boyfriend. Soon, though, she proved that she could hold her own when it came to danger. And that was especially clear in the scene from The Twilight Saga: New Moon in which she actually saved Edward’s life.
A lot was going on in this film after Edward broke up with Bella and his family left the Forks. In a case of mistaken psychic vision, Edward ends up thinking that Bella had died and is so distraught he seeks out head vampire honcho Volturi to kill him. As Edward tries to force the vampire coven to kill him, Bella races back and saves his life in a fun bit of franchise role reversal.
Edward saves Bella’s life

Of course, we wouldn’t fully appreciate the scene where Bella saves Edward’s life if we didn’t already love the scene where he saves her life. In the very first film, Bella must run for her life from James, a vampire who’s hungry for her in all the wrong ways. Eventually, the Cullens show up and stop him, but it looks like they are too late because he has already bitten her, infecting her body with the venom that will transform her into a vampire against her will.
This is, of course, where Edward comes in. He manages to suck all of the vampiric venom out of her body without giving into the bloodlust that demands he suck her entire body dry. Overall, the whole scene is kinda scary and kinda hot, which really sums the whole franchise up in a nutshell.
Bella’s transformation into a vampire

Twilight is an interesting franchise in that some of its later major plot beats eventually circled back to the beginning. For example, in the first film, her transformation into a vampire is presented as a terrible consequence that Edward has to save her from. But by the time The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 rolled around, it was time for Bella to give into the inevitable and become a creature of the night.
What is it that causes her sudden change of mind? Childbirth, of course! Toward the end of the film, Bella has given birth and is now dying. To save her life, she is transformed into a vampire, finally becoming an immortal like Edward. And while Part 1 ended with her becoming a vamp (seriously, it’s the last show of the movie), Part 2 gave the fans what they wanted by presenting the newly-vamped Bella in all her glory.
The wedding of Bella and Edward

If you’ve never seen these movies before, you might think that Bella becoming a vampire at the end of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is the most crowd-pleasing part of the film. In reality, though, that honor goes to the scene that fans had waited years to see. That scene is, of course, the wedding of Bella and Edward!
In a fun twist, the movie opens with this wedding rather than ending with it. It’s a backyard wedding at the Cullens’, but everyone in attendance looks dapper and dressed to kill. As an unexpected bonus, no serious drama disrupts the wedding, allowing fans to sit back and appreciate a moment they had waited so long to see.
