The Best and Most Inspiring Kizomba Dance Videos

People talk a lot of smack about video-sharing platforms like YouTube for many reasons, including how the platform encourages influencers and their young followers to create meaningless fads seemingly out of nowhere. However, there is one upside to YouTube that the haters rarely acknowledge: it might be the single best platform for preserving cultural traditions that would otherwise have faded into obscurity. Chief among them is a dance craze nearly half a century old: Kizomba.

If you don’t know, Kizomba isn’t the sound of a sneeze…instead, it’s the name of Angola’s trendy music and dance genre that first originated in the late-70’s. In the Kimbundu language, the word translates to “party,” and that’s what Angolans used to do with Kizboma at weddings and parties. But now that this crazy has spread throughout the internet, people all around the world have learned how to party like never before.

Would you like to be one of them? We’re here to help. Below, you’ll find the best and most inspiring Kizomba dance videos on YouTube that you can watch for free today!

Isabelle and Felicien, the ultimate Kizomba couple

It’s obviously possible to enjoy Kizomba on your own…honestly, that’s how we first fell in love with it. But like most forms of dancing, Kizomba is better with two people. And if you don’t believe that, all you have to do is check out this video of Isabelle and Felicien, arguably the ultimate Kizomba couple.

Dancing to Soha’s “Mil Pasos,” these two decided that their love for one another couldn’t be confined to a single room or even to a single building. Instead, the video shows them dancing through the side streets, and between the twinkle of the city’s lights and the mutual twinkle in their eyes, this couple left us with a video we can’t stop watching. The choreography is top-notch and will likely leave you hoping to find someone who looks at you the way these two look at each other!

Soul meets body with David Campos and Guida Rei

If you watch a lot of Kizomba videos, you’ll notice that “Magico” has plenty of covers. But the song has never quite sounded so romantic as it does in this video of David Campos and Guida Rei dancing their hearts out. This video was made during one of Campos’ Kizomba workshop events, but when he and Rei are dancing, it looks like they are focused only on each other and the sizzling rhythm they are currently sharing.

We don’t like to throw flowery words around too much on here, but the best description for this video is “inspiring.” Seriously: this is the vid that you show to partners or friends who are on the fence about Kizomba. Try it out if you want to put together a dance party of like-minded music lovers anytime soon!

Isabelle and Felicien Kizomba Dance

Isabelle and Felicien are world-renowned ambassadors of kizomba, celebrated for their smooth, elegant, and soulful dance style. With impeccable musicality and a profound connection, they bring the essence of kizomba to life, captivating audiences with their grace and harmony. As accomplished performers and instructors, Isabelle and Felicien are dedicated to spreading the beauty and culture of kizomba through workshops, shows, and events worldwide. Their unique approach seamlessly blends traditional elements with modern influences, making their performances a true celebration of this vibrant and intimate dance form.

Romance redefined with Jack and Sara

What’s that? You still need more romantic Kizomba videos after those last two? In that case, it’s time to check out this breathtaking bid from Jack and Sara. The two are dancing to a cover of Ludovico Einaudi’s “Experience,” and the early vid may make you think we’ll be focusing plenty on the live musicians. Instead, though, we get a tight focus on some dance moves likely to make you hot under the collar.

The two dance, sway, and move into each other’s arms like waves lapping the shore of the beach. None of it is crude or vulgar, of course, but this video underscores just how thin the dividing line between sex and dancing really is. This is basically as sexy as dancing gets…so much so that you might need to sit down before you watch it!

Sara Lopez, instructor supreme

By now, you’ve probably noticed that most of the videos on this list focus on sensual and downright sexy Kizomba dancing. The only problem with that, though, is that it’s so easy to get lost in the killer chemistry of these dancers that you don’t really pick up any new moves for yourself. And if you’re a complete Kizomba newbie, those videos (no matter how hot they are) might not be enough to help you get started.

That’s where Sara Lopez comes in. She’s one of the best Kizomba instructors in the world, and the video below illustrates why. While she does have great chemistry with the student (as she does with pretty much everyone), Lopez goes out of her way to demonstrate the fancy footwork required to pull off the dance. And while it will take plenty of practice for complete newcomers, this video is a great way to both learn how to get started and discover just how fun Kizomba can be.
