It’s only natural for celebrities to want children. Once your name is famous, after all, it’s that much more important that the name lives on.
But some celebs really take the idea of raising a family to the next level. And they do that by having way, way more children than most of us could ever handle!

Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie and ex-husband Brad Pitt have a much larger family than you might expect. Overall, they have a total of six children.
The couple have three biological children together: Shilo and twins Vivienne and Knox. But before they got married, Jolie had already adopted three children: Pax, Zahara, and Maddox. Once this famous couple got together, they quickly had a family the Brady Bunch would be proud of!
Charlie Sheen
Back when Charlie Sheen was publicly spiraling out of control, he blurted out claims that he had “Adonis DNA” and was filled with “tiger blood.” And if tiger blood is genetic, he may have passed it on to his five children!
What makes things tricky with Sheen is that while he has five kids, this large brood comes from three different mothers. With ex Denise Richards, he had two daughters: Sam and Lola Rose. With ex Brooke Mueller, he had two sons: Bob and Max. Finally, he has a daughter with Paula Profit named Cassandra that is all grown up now.
Bob Marley
When Bob Marley passed away at the age of 36, it was a loss for the entire world. But while he cannot create any more music, his legacy lives on through his 11 (yes, you read that correctly) children.
As you might expect, this many kids came from several different romantic entanglements. Three were from his wife Rita, and Marley adopted two of Rita’s kids from one of her previous relationships. The other six children came from different women that Marley ran into during his legendary career.

Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood rocketed to fame playing a character known only as “The Man With No Name” But considering that he has seven children, we’re confident that nobody will forget the name “Eastwood” anytime soon!
Of the seven kids, five of them are girls (Kimber Lynn, Alison, Francesca, Morgan, and Kathryn) and two are boys (Kyle and Scott). Things may be complicated behind the scenes, though, as the seven different children have five different mothers.
Eddie Murphy
For most of these celebs, the fact that they have this many kids is a big surprise. But that may not be the case with comedian and acting icon Eddie Murphy. After all, he posed with seven of his kids in 2016 (as well as his girlfriend Paige Butcher) in the photo above. He has 10 children (six daughters and four sons) with five mothers.
The youngest child, Max, is a toddler now, while the oldest kid is over 30 years old. And judging from this photo, we could all learn lessons from Murphy about keeping a family happy.
Mick Jagger
It may not be that surprising that famous rocker Mick Jagger has eight children from three different mothers. After all, most of us assume that Jagger was chasing women down for a good chunk of his musical tours.
What is surprising is that Jagger still wanted to have children in his advanced years. The youngest child (Deveraux) was only born in 2016!
Madonna
Madonna helped transform the music industry. Along the way, though, she had time to raise a family of six children!
Like Angelina Jolie, Madonna is a big fan of adopting. In addition to two biological children (Lourdes and Rocco), Madonna has four adopted children from Malawi: David, Mercy, and twins Estere and Stella.
Kevin Costner
If you go check out his IMDB, you might think that all of Kevin Costner’s free time went into making movies. However, family is important to the famous actor, and he made the time to raise seven children.
The kids come from three different mothers. With his ex-wife Cindy Silva, Costner had three children: Anne, Lily, and Joseph. With Bridget Rooney, he had one child: Liam. And with current wife Christine Baumgartner, he has three kids: Cayden, Hayes, and Grace.
Robert De Niro
Despite his legacy of playing tough-guy roles, Robert De Niro was absolutely hilarious in Meet the Parents. Maybe being a funny and confused dad came easily to this actor because has had six children of his own?
With ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, he has one biological child, Raphael. De Niro also adopted Abbott’s daughter from a previous relationship, Drena. With former partner Toukie Smith, he had twin sons: Julian and Aaron. And De Niro’s most recent children are with actress Grace Hightower, a son named Elliot and a daughter named Helen.

Legendary rapper DMX sadly passed away on April 9, 2021 at the age of 50. But his legacy lives on through his 15 children, from nine mothers. His oldest child is 28 years old. His youngest son Exodus, with fiancee Desirée Lindstrom, was born in 2016.
Mel Gibson
Despite causing a few scandals along the way, Mel Gibson has been a Hollywood bigshot for many years. But between starring in and directing various movies, he had time to start a large family that contains a whopping nine children.
The nine children include two daughters (Hannah and Lucia) and seven sons (Milo, Christian, Lars, Edward, Thomas, William, and Louis). Gibson’s ex-wife Robyn Moore is mother to seven of the children and professional pianist Oksana Grigorieva is mother to the other two.
