Have you been living a bit too much in the past lately? We’re certainly guilty of too much nostalgia, and that often means binge-watching some of our favorite movies and television shows from the 1990s.

However, you might be in for a surprise when, after watching, you see the celebrity in modern day photos. The reason is clear: some of your favorite 90s celebs had plastic surgery that changed their iconic appearances forever.

Which stars got which procedures? And what did they look like before going under the knife? Keep reading to find out!

Kathy Griffin

In the 1990s, Kathy Griffin was the face of the successful sitcom Suddenly Susan. Her own face is quite different these days, though, with the comedian admitting to having both liposuction and a nose job.

Lil’ Kim

Sometimes, it’s tough to remember that Lil’ Kim has been releasing killer tracks since 1996. It’s also hard for original fans to recognize Lil’ Kim’s modern look. She has admitted to having two nose jobs due to having her nose broken by an ex, but given how dramatically different she looks, many people assume she has had other surgeries as well.

Courteney Cox

From dancing with Bruce Springsteen onscreen to becoming part of Friends, one of the most iconic shows of all time, Courteney Cox has had quite a career. Over time, she felt the need to keep up her youthful appearance and later admitted to going too far with injections and fillers (as you can see here from her plumper face). These days, the star is content to rock a more natural look and age with box dignity and grace.

Tori Spelling

Thanks to the crazy popularity of Beverly Hills, 90210, Tori Spelling was one of the biggest stars of the decade. Decades later, she admitted to getting both a nose job and a boob job. She’s annoyed at rumors that she had more work done, though she really does look dramatically different than she did way back when.

Cameron Diaz

While Cameron Diaz seems to have retired from acting, she will always be remembered for movies such as The Mask and There’s Something About Mary. A few years after those movies helped make her famous, the star got a nose job. However, she always maintained that the surgery was meant to fix a deviated septum from having her nose repeatedly broken and not an attempt to look prettier.

Lara Flynn Boyle

If you watched Twin Peaks in the ‘90s, it was difficult not to fall in love with young ingenue Lara Flynn Boyle. She went on to star in The Practice but, a few years after that show ended, Boyle appeared with a face much plumper than before. She never admitted to plastic surgery, but it looks like she had facial fillers, some botox, a nose job, and perhaps other procedures that forever altered her famous face.

Victoria Beckham

When she married soccer legend David Beckham in 1999, Victoria Beckham knew that she was going to have a lot of media attention on her. That’s why she had breast surgery to become so buxom in this first photo from 2007. A few years later, though, she had the implants removed, returning to a more natural look.

Tara Reid

Tara Reid is very nearly the embodiment of ‘90s entertainment. She dazzled everyone in films ranging from The Big Lebowski to the raunchy There’s Something About Mary, and fans hoped that she would retain her natural beauty for many years to come. However, the young star went under the knife for liposuction and a boob job, and the latter went terribly wrong. To make matters worse, her post-job boob popped out on the red carpet, and the entire world saw that her areola had been transformed into an unnatural square shape.

Jennifer Aniston

Thanks to the success of Friends, Jennifer Aniston and her famous haircut dominated newspaper headlines during the 1990s. Much like Cameron Diaz, Aniston ended up getting a nose job, ostensibly to fix a deviated septum. That nose job didn’t fully fix the issue, and she ended up getting another one 12 years later.

LeAnn Rimes

If you were into country music in the ‘90s, then you may remember LeAnn Rimes as being nothing short of musical royalty. She was a teenager then, and later photos of the musician led to rumors that she had gotten a boob job, fillers, Botox, and eyelid surgery. We’ll let you be the judge of how accurate those rumors are!

Kelly Rowland

We were all singing Destiny’s Child songs in the car back in the ‘90s, and group member Kelly Rowland suddenly knew what it meant to be a household name. With the eyes of the world on her, Rowland decided to get a boob job to alter her appearance, but she maintains this was not something that she carefully planned for over time instead of doing on a vain impulse.

Courtney Love

Music lovers in the ‘90s were split between loving and hating Courtney Love, with most of the hate focusing on her relationship with the late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. Love her or hate her, though, you have to admit that this Hole singer looks dramatically different after plastic surgery. She previously admitted to getting a nose job at the tender age of 20 and made a joking allusion to likely getting a facelift when she was 35.
